Let us tempt you A brief
history: It was the end of the XIXth century. Paris, the city of invention,
travel and luxury was celebrating the Great Exhibitions and was entering the
new century proud of its new constructions: the Grand Boulevards of Baron
Haussmann, the Opéra Garnier, the Petit and Grand Palais, the Orsay and
Saint-Lazare districts. In 1889, to accomodate the rich visitors flooding
into Paris, the Hotel Concorde Saint Lazare, known then as the Grand Hotel
Terminus, first saw the light of day. Built in record time: 15 months! by
the architect Juste Lisch, it opened on May 07th 1889 for the Great
Exhibition. Elegant, spectacular, monumental, sophisticated and modern, it
was worth going to Paris just to visit the hotel. Indeed, it was the height
of the luxury and it offered the very latest inventions of the time:
electricity and elevators. In 1910, the hotel brought itself up to date by
creating private bathrooms and installing the telephone. In 1934, many
transformations made the hotel an avant garde establishment: the restaurant
Cafè Terminus and the Bar were fully renovated and a new restaurant inspired
by the Normandie boat opened. In 1967, further renovations were brought
about. In 1989, the lobby was fully refurbished and listed as a historical
monument, all the rooms were completely renewed. The hotel counts 266 rooms
and is now called "Hôtel Concorde Saint-Lazare". Also in 1997, 2000 and
2001, some new refurbishments were undertaken: rooms were renovated, the
presidential suite has been created, the Baccarat function room replaced the
billiard room, etc... Since then, the hotel and its team still have a
permanent care for welcome, comfort and quality.

The 266 bedrooms in the
hotel are spacious, light and stylishly decorated by the interior designer
Sybille de Margerie. Bold tints of blue and yellow blend elegantly with the
light tones and floral patterns chosen for the decor of the rooms. You will
find all the important factors for comfort: Air conditioning, double
glazing, telephone equipped with voice mail, minibar and individual safe,
direct connection for computer, cable and pay Tv, double door at the
entrance to rooms, hair dryer and main electricity switch...Hi-fi system in
the Suites and Junior Suites. Do you long for privacy? We have 24 hours room
service. Superior Room: completely renovated and soundproofed, this room of
15sq.m. allows you to enjoy Paris in complete peace and quiet. The bathroom
tiled in white and with the benefit of natural daylight encourages
relaxation of both body and mind. Also available with a double bed or twin
beds. Deluxe Room: more Spacious than the superior rooms at 20 sq.m., the
deluxe rooms provide a quiet atmosphere and bright decor. They are also
available with a double bed or twin beds.
